FACILITIES

Auckland Film Studios support buildings and canopied areas accommodate your production needs – providing space for offices, art department, casting, catering, construction, greens, props, sound, stunts, unit and more. The site is secure with ample parking and staff amenities.

On site, you will find office space, workshops, and a range of business services. We have a total 64,648 sq ft/6,006 sq m of indoor and outdoor workshops including: mill space, paint shop and spray booth, plaster shop, fabrication room, mould making shop, steel fabrication workshop and plentiful storage.

Offices

Five office blocks are spread across the site totalling 18,783 sq ft/1,745 sq m. They are furnished with basic office amenities. The north and south office blocks also include meeting rooms and there are make-up and changing facilities in building 5 and the portacabins.

North Workshops

Building 13 functions as a timber mill with concrete floors, large roller doors, overhead extraction, natural light, and work benches. Building 12 functions as a steel workshop, with ceiling extraction for hot works, steel racks, three phase power and roof ventilation.

East Storage

On the eastern side of the facility is a series of 323-430 sq ft/30-40 sq m storage containers that also buffer sound from the railway and create privacy from Railside Avenue. At one end of these is a large multipurpose container shelter.

West Workshops

Our western workshops contained in Building 38 and the neighbouring mill site include specialised spaces to produce sets, props, and costuming. Mill space for woodworking is fitted with four industrial work bay extractors. There is a large in situ spray booth and four portable spray booths. A steel fabrication workshop, fibre glass shop with extraction, plaster shop, mould making shop and flexible fabrication space is included as well. Throughout the workshops are shelving and racks for storage and other useful furnishings.

Central Workshops

Our central workshops in building 14 and 16 contain flexible open spaces frequently used for set décor, costuming and fabrics. Building 15 is an enclosed canopy area used for storage.

Site Wide

Enclosed in perimeter fencing, with controlled entry and security buildings, the studios are a secure site to ensure productions the utmost privacy. Site wide Wi-Fi, bathroom and kitchen amenities are provided for. There is onsite parking, hard stand space and EV charging ports. In the southeast corner, you will find garden beds and greenhouses for growing food or set décor plants on site. Available site wide are portable chemical and dangerous goods storage, and portable cabins ranging from 323-430 sq ft/30-40 sq m for a variety of uses.
